All's Well that Ends Well?

Well, hell. The electric mower that I was interested in is gone. There's another one that interests me, but I'd have to drive to Chicago.

 

Woke up at noon. Feeling hammered.

 

No storms so far. The weather forecasters say that there might be a storm right when I'll be picking up my groceries. Oh well.

 

Threw a load of towels in the wash.

 

The girls seem to like their usual dry food (Purina Pro Plan) better than the food that I got at Walmart, so I'll keep ordering it from Amazon. Need to remember to start from eBates to get cash back.

 

Bit of a headache.

 

Zara jumped on my lap, sniffed my empty bowl of grits, and then jumped off. Okay....Now she's back.

 

Organizing is paying off. I was able to grab clothes to wear today with no hassle.

 

Spilled coffee (luckily, cooled) on me. I'm such a klutz.

 

Read an article that suggested having a magnetic whiteboard on the freezer to list what's in there and one on the refrigerator to list leftovers. I have one on the fridge, but need to get one for the freezer.

 

Lay down for a nap. Petted Mimi for a while, then flipped over to go to sleep. Mimi protested. I said, "Mimi, I want to take a nap." Mimi said that she wanted me to pet her, and what's more important? Eventually, she settled down.

 

Had a bite to eat.

 

Went to Aldi's. Picked up a hose along with the groceries. It was $10 instead of the $5 that the person on Facebook Marketplace wanted, but it's new, and I'd have to drive for an hour to get the used hose. It fits on my faucet too.

 

Went to Walmart. Picked up Zara's meds. Then I picked up my order right before 7 PM. The person doing the loading magically appeared and loaded my groceries into my car. It took me longer to unload the groceries than it took to pick them up. The only thing that I didn't like is that they substituted large command hooks for the ones with a wire hook at the end. I'll see if they work.

 

AND, a guy in Normal is selling an electric lawn mower for $50. I've arranged a time tomorrow to come to get it. Awesome!

 

Talked to Mom. She's doing okay and is spending a lot of time on the garden. We decided to go to Cahokia Mounds, a Native American archeological site, when and if she's able to come here in August. I need to make a hotel reservation.

 

Now I think that I'll work on organizing the bedroom before I go to sleep....
