Home Chef Meals 1 and 2

Woke up around 10:30 AM.

Fed to the girls some salmon cat food and boy do they love salmon. I can only imagine what they'll do when I make my salmon later in the week. Zara's going to be out of control.

Whoops, forgot to mention that Mom called last night to tell me that she was back in Michigan. I called her back to tell her that I miss her. We chatted for a little while. She wants a full report on the food that I'll make from the Home Chef box. (For someone without much appetite, she's really interested in the food that I make.)

Made the salad during dinner. I thought that it was okay, but I forgot to put some of the vinaigrette in and the fried wonton strips. Huge salad though. It's supposed to be for two people, but I should get at least three meals out of it.

I felt like a whirling dervish at work today. Zoom, zoom, zoom.

Making the pasta. The damn smoke alarms go off every time that I use the oven. I feel sorry for the cats.

And the food was...just okay. At these prices, it needs to be wonderful. I'll see how the salmon is. I am getting three servings out of the pasta though.

I'm tired. I'm planning on going to sleep early.

Added: Swagbucks had an offer for joining Instacart, so I signed up. I set up direct deposit to my vacation bank account. We'll see how this goes.
