At-Home Day
Sep. 1st, 2019 12:31 amWoke up at 9:30 AM. Went back to sleep and woke up at 1:30 PM. Promptly fed the girls because they must have been hungry.
Decided to set my grocery pickup for tomorrow because I need an at-home day.
Mimi was playing with a catnip toy. She throws it in the air and pounces on it. I love that she plays with toys. (Zara does not.) Then she went galloping down the hall. Now she's curled up for a nap.
Lay down for a nap, but couldn't sleep. Got up and ate lunch. Changed into cleaning clothes. Threw laundry in because I got tomato sauce on a t-shirt that I like. I hope that it comes out. (I put Oxyclean on it.)
Sat with Mimi on my lap for a while. Put the wet clothes on the drying rack.
Napped for a while. Lunch (French bread pizza) knocked me out.
Talked to Mom. Her friend is not coming into town, which takes some of the pressure off in getting the house clean. My aunt still wants Mom to come to Chicago to see the Downton Abbey movie, so I'm going to see how much taking the train would cost.
I'm feeling lazy today and am not getting things done except for laundry. I think that I'm going to go to bed soon.
My USB keyboard isn't working, which makes it hard to do anything online. I don't know if I should replace it or what. I unplugged the USB cable and plugged it in again, and now the keyboard is working. Good.
I hate recipe sites that spend several scrolls of the page chatting about this or that before they get to the actual recipe. Cut to the chase! My Mom was rhapsodizing about some scallops in a garlic cream sauce that she had in a restaurant, so I went looking for recipes.
Submitted my grocery order. Now I really am going to bed.
