Was woken up by a freaking LOUD storm directly overhead. I got up. Zara made the same noise that she makes sometimes when I feed her and jumped on my lap to snuggle. I am loved and she is loved :)

Mimi was measuring up the jump to the table when she abruptly decided to use my lap as a stepping stone. She got on the freezer only to find that the dry food bowl was empty. The horror! Mommy filled the bowl and saved the day.

Threw myself together and went to run errands. I went to the Lincoln Park District gym, and the person to whom I needed to talk had left. At least I got a name and when she works.

Ran to the credit union and made my car payment. I have only $480 left to pay. Drove past a restaurant at which Mom and I had gotten delicious biscuits and gravy. Blew past the gas station, thinking about biscuits and gravy. Went to Dollar Tree to pick up odds and ends, including more blue baskets. Backtracked to the restaurant to get my fix. Left in a food coma. Remembered to get gas this time. Went to Walmart and picked up Zara's meds and some makeup.

Called Mom and wished her a happy birthday.

Took a nap. Got up to feed the cats.

I forgot to switch my credit card on file with Home Chef, so I fixed it. Expensive mistake because they charge me extra.

Here comes another storm.

Shopped until I dropped on Walmart Grocery and submitted my order for pickup. Got dry cat food and filing supplies on Amazon. Now the plan is to work on organizing the pantry. (I don't think that I could sleep with a loud storm overhead anyway!)

Goofy Mimi, lying half on her back with her paws in the air:

The Navy Seal guy whose book I'm reading is into martial arts, not surprisingly. The likelihood of my taking Jiu-Jitsu, however, is really low. I would like to take Tai Chi though. I found a place in Springfield that offers classes on Saturday.

Hmm, Unity of Springfield offers a Tai Chi class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10. It's probably free or at least cheaper.

I'm eyeing a Fitbit Versa, but that assumes that I'll be doing a lot of walking. Hmm.

Had problems falling asleep last night. Got up at 10:30 AM anyway. Zara is on my lap. Got us fed. Took a nap. Zara is on my lap again. I had to tip her off to make lunch.

Got some more pantry shelves organized. I'm now at the Shelf from Hell, which has bags and wraps, some of which are spewing their contents onto the floor. That will slow me down. Printed some labels.

When I finish the pantry, I want to organize under the sink in the bathroom, but I need to look at what I've got and do some measuring to figure out what organizers to get.

Threw myself together. Got makeup at Walgreens for a ridiculous price. Got soda at Dollar Tree. Got some odds and ends at Aldi, including an apple walnut cake. (Yum!) Got some things that I forgot to put in the Walmart order. Picked up the Walmart order....only to find that the eggs that I added to the order weren't added to the order. Suckage. Might go back later if it doesn't rain. Put groceries away.

Heated up my leftover salmon and potatoes. They were good. Zara was dozing on the other chair until I ate some ice cream, and she magically appeared.

Talked to Mom. She's talking herself out of taking the train to Chicago and driving instead. I have a bad feeling about her driving, but it's her choice. She's talking about dropping by after she visits with my aunt to give me the set of drawers that she has for me.

I'm tired. I'm going to order a new calendar, do a little research for Mom, put some more groceries away, and toddle off to bed.
