Leisurely morning. Got us all fed. Made a shopping list. Had a nap.

I'm wondering if I should go to the store or not. Right now, a storm is overhead, but I still need to eat and shower. I guess that I'll throw myself together and see what the weather is like when I need to leave.

It was raining, but not storming, when I was ready to leave, so I went. On one stop, Aldi has a new policy of not bringing in bags from the outside, and they don't bag groceries, so I was standing outside in the rain near my car bagging groceries. I was close to tears, but I sucked it up and got it done.(Mom thought that I should have bought bags there, but I have a ton of reusable bags.)

Now I'm home. I just brought in the perishable stuff, and the rest can wait until it stops raining. The little plants seem to like the rain. I'm glad that something does.

According to the Wall Street Journal, RV camping is in. Still want a camper van.

Talked to Mom. She's doing okay, but she's tired of people venting to her. She thinks that I should keep both big boxes for Zara. I said, "Hey, whose side are you on?" "Zara's!"

Then I took a nap. At 10:30 at night. Because I wanted to. I woke up at 1:30 AM and had something to eat. Did the dishes. Now it's time to post and go back to sleep for the night.

Rainy, gloomy day. I have to admit, though, that the rain sounds kind of nice as long as I'm inside.

OMG. It's pouring outside. I went to check on the plants, and still got soaked with an umbrella. The basil plants are under water, but I can't rescue them right now. The rain is supposed to stop at 7 PM. No, now they're saying 5:30 PM. The rain died down, so I rescued the basil plants. They came out of the pot when I dumped out the water, so I replanted them. I hope that they're okay. The rest of the plants look good.

Apparently there was serious flooding in Springfield.

Got the garbage out. I'm chipping away at the little boxes.

I think that my next major trip will be the California Zephyr because airline fares are high and might get higher due to distancing restrictions. The Zephyr would be fun though. And relaxing. I wish that I could go now. They do have reservations open during the summer, but that's probably because no one knows if the lockdown restrictions will lift.

I need to get to bed early because I have a webinar and my monthly teleconference call tomorrow morning.
