My Mind Meanders Like a Lazy River

Did my normal morning routine and then had a nap.

I'm trying to decide whether to dye my hair today or wait until next weekend. The weather looks good for hiking next weekend, so yes, I'll do it today. I need to call my hairdresser to see if I can get an appointment in the near future. Also, I need to get the front tires on my car replaced next Friday, assuming that the tire place is open.

Dyed my hair and cleaned part of the bathroom. One step closer to going back to the library. (I was saving my hair dye until then, figuring that there was no point in doing it while I stayed home.) Shaved my legs too. I feel clean and fragrant.

Something told me to try to unstick a zipper on a coat on which the zipper was stuck. Got it unstuck. Awesome sauce. (I had been thinking of trying to knit a scarf as my first project, and I was wondering what color. I looked at the coat and it called to me. My mind meanders like a lazy river :))

Watered the garden. Made the pumpkin-zucchini bread, and it's in the oven. Taking a quick break before I clean up. Cleaned up. Cut up the remaining zucchini so that I can make fried zucchini after talking to Mom.

Talked to Mom. She's doing okay. Some of her friends are having serious health problems though. She really wants to come visit, but who knows how things are going to go?

Got the pumpkin-zucchini bread out of the oven, and told Mom that I felt like my grandmother. She'd do this and do that and food appeared. She was a far better cook than I am though.

Had some pumpkin-zucchini bread, and it's pretty good. Made a grilled-cheese sandwich and some fried zucchini. The zucchini was pretty good, even though the breading wasn't as even as you would get in a restaurant. I have a lot left over.

I intended to finish cleaning the bathroom but food coma. Off to bed after I finish the dishes....
