Dragging

After all that, I couldn't fall asleep. My mind kept on churning about the job search and about a friend who's having problems. I didn't want to get up and have oatmeal because I'm low on oatmeal, but I thought that I had some grits. It turned out that I have a full container of grits. A couple of jobs that interest me are in the South, so maybe that's a good omen. A new job is in Mississippi near the Gulf Coast and near New Orleans (!), so that might be good.

Overslept this morning. I've decided not to apply for the Salem job because I don't feel like it would be a step up. Plus I doubt that they'd pay relocation. Better to target my efforts.

Ran errands. Picked up oatmeal, bread, and soda. Now I'm resting for a moment.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg died. Oh crap. Crappity crappity crap. Called Mom and told her about RBG.

Took another nap and really crashed out.

I'm tired. It's going to be a homework and job search night. Did the reading and watched the videos for my math class. I think that I'll wait to do the exercises until the morning when I'll be fresh.

RBG Movie

It's 43 degrees F out as I go to bed. I'm wondering if I should turn the heat on, but it's September. Yikes. I wound up putting on full pajamas and was toasty warm.

Got up and got us all fed. Zara is eating really well, which I'm glad to see. She polished off her dry food as well as the wet food.

Mom called. She suggested that I watch the movie RBG tonight on CNN instead of talking to her. So that's what I'm going to do.

Had a nice nap and ate. Then I tackled my homework and finished one set of it before the movie.

The RBG movie was good. I hadn't realized that she was the lawyer on a series of sex discrimination cases during the 70s. I had thought that I would do some mending while I watched, but I just watched.

I'm feeling tired, but I should pay homage to RBG's work ethic to get my second set of math problems done. No, instead, I'm working on my resume and cover letters.
