Operation CatNap
Feb. 13th, 2021 06:08 amOperation CatNap came off without a hitch. I gave Zara extra food and grabbed her. Zara was silent, so Mimi wasn't tipped off. I gave her extra food too and grabbed her. I always think I that this will be the time that I can't get them in the carriers. I only had that happen once when my late cat Harlee hid so well that I couldn't find her. I found her after I called and canceled the appointment, of course.
The vet was doing curbside service. When I got there, I called but they didn't answer. Then someone came out and asked what I needed. The vet tech came out to get the girls. And I sat in the car, freezing despite a blanket, and playing with my phone. The time went relatively fast though. Finally they brought them out. The vet said that Zara wasn't TOO bad. She said that she'd call about the blood work later today.
The girls were grateful to get back home. And they promptly ate the food that I used to distract them!
The vet called about Zara"s blood work. She's close to having thyroid problems but doesn't have it yet. But her kidneys are starting to have issues. The vet wants to put her on a special kidney diet. I'll stop by on Monday and pick up some samples.
Fresh Meal Plan had a win with Pesto Shrimp. I still think that I should see what I can cook because Zara's blood work was expensive and her prescription food will be expensive. Well, now I'm trying Metabolic Meals. So much for that. They offer a weight loss coach and I might do that depending on what it costs.
I'm too tired to go shopping. I'll go tomorrow. I need to get there early enough to pick up Zara's meds. Plus I want to look at a recipe for Peanut Butter Protein Bars.
It's very satisfying to see my weight trending down in the FitBit app.
I've got my BlendJet. Cool beans! Smoothies tomorrow! Need to look up the recipe.
Took a nap and slept through until morning. The girls seemed crashed out too. Mimi just came in and checked on me.
