Low-Key Day

I'm really happy that ljravengirl got a job! Yay!

It feels like it's going to be hot today. Yep. High of 78 F. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 88! Yikes!

Zara is staring at me, trying to put a thought in my head. FEED ME! Just a second, sweetie.

I put cream in my oatmeal when I ran out of almond milk and now my stomach is upset. Bah.

Had a nice nap. (Yes, after sleeping 12 hours.) Zara is very deeply asleep. I'm watching her sleep, and her ears swivel while she's asleep. I guess that's a survival thing. She got up when I did to see what I was eating. Sorry, Zara, just a salad.

Spontaneously cleaned off the freezer. Here's the "after" pic.

For the "before," imagine stuff strewn all over the place. I have a stash of baskets and such to put stuff in. They'll be the last thing to go to the thrift store.

Pulled out some shorts and a top to use for cleaning.

Took another nap.

Pulled myself together and got soda and almond milk. It's so freaking humid out. The plants in the garden love it, but I don't.

Talked to Mom. She seemed in good spirits and is getting a lot done on the house. I had asked her if she would like a Great Courses course on the Italian Renaissance, and she said yes, she'd like it. She wants me to watch it too so that I'd be prepared to go to Florence. Part-way through, the phone connection was messed up and I couldn't understand what she was saying, so we hung up. Mom called me back. Apparently she forgot that we were talking on the landline, and she was talking into her cell phone!

Had some scrambled eggs, toast, and pie. I was going to make banana bread tonight, but I think that I'll just go to sleep.
