Semi-Productive Day

Ugh. Low of 3 degrees F last night. Today it's sunny and warmer than yesterday. I think that I'll wait until tomorrow to get my library books though. Did my morning routine and gave Zara some extra food because she clearly was still hungry. She must have approved because she gave me a little kiss. Aww :)

I keep checking my work email, thinking that I got the restart date on the 5th wrong, but no one is there.

Napped. I need to figure out what to do today. The top items are writing and cleaning. Oh, and creating a spreadsheet to track my language learning and one for my reading.

Okay, I have a draft of an essay. I've lowered my daily writing goal from 750 words to 300-400. And I created my spreadsheets.

Took another nap and overslept. Sigh. Had a bite to eat with Zara in my face. She hissed at me when I tried to get her claws out of my hand. (She was using them to balance.)

Made a bunch of Italian flashcards and logged the time in my spreadsheet. Worked on the kitchen until my back hurt. (Which is part of the reason I wanted the flash cards. I might as well do something while my back is spasming.) Tested the Pretty Good Laptop, and it's working, so I plugged it in behind the piano. Yay! Piano class tomorrow. Decided that I want to create a spreadsheet for cleaning and decluttering too (done), so I'll do that before I go to bed. Dishes are soaking in the sink.

I moved some of the bubble mailers that Mimi likes to lie on in the middle of the room and instant cat. My decor is...eccentric.

Missing Book

I'm looking at North Face parkas on Mercari and eBay because, despite global warming, it wouldn't surprise me if we get subzero (F) temps. Plus, I'm more likely to walk if I have a warm coat. It's hard to find one that's less than $200, but I found a few.

Ow. Zara scrambled over me with claws out. Someone who didn't know that I have a crazy cat would think that I've been cutting myself. Sigh.

Worked on the kitchen some. Napped and overslept for an hour.

I will not make it to piano class. I've been looking for a missing library book with no luck. I vaguely remember a book falling off of the shelf before I went to Michigan, but I haven't found it so far.

Ran out and got my library books. Got soda at Dollar Tree, but forgot to get index cards. Got food at Aldi. The healthy part was some celery and hummus to munch on. Also, apples. Wow, it was windy and cold (see: parka).

Zara wants more food, so she's making it impossible to ignore her. I fed her and gave Mimi a spoonful because she was meowing. They have me well-trained.

Looked for the missing library book again. This is going to drive me crazy.

I'm tired, so I'm thinking of going to bed soon. I work (from home) tomorrow.
