Tired Tuesday

Ack! I keep going back and forth with the apartment manager of an apartment that I was going to see tomorrow. The apartment is now rented, but I told him that I needed a two-bedroom or one-bedroom plus den. He sent me a one-bedroom without den. Sigh. I'm trying to set up a tour with another place, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

My lower back is really bugging me. I went and lay down for a while, which had me running late for class, so I kept my camera off.

It is arctic out. 45F with the wind chill. (Okay, that isn't really arctic, but it's cold and windy without a coat.)

My university program is setting up a social hour on Thursday. I can't afford the time.

I took a nap and slept through until morning. Still no contact from the apartment or a house, so I don't know if I'm going to Champaign or not.

Apartment Hunting in the Cold

Mom is flying to Chicago today. I hope that she gets to the house okay. She was stressing about it.

Ack! It's 28F at 8 AM. I'm not sure if I want to go apartment hunting in the cold or not, although I'll go if I get an appointment. I have an appointment for a haircut at 11:30. I'm done with breakfast and kitty maintenance, and my clothes are in the dryer, so I'm going to nap for a little while.

Okay, I have an appointment at an apartment in Urbana at 2 PM. No time for lunch beforehand, but I'll eat afterward. Maybe I can eat some soup before I go to my hair appointment. Okay, he rescheduled for 2:30, so I can grab a quick lunch before I go. Yikes, I need to get gas too.

Got my hair cut. It looks much better. I left without my glasses though! Luckily, I had my spare set in my purse.

The apartment was kind of a bust. It was tiny without a balcony, although they have slightly larger ones with a balcony. And it's not walking distance to anything interesting.

I had a bite at Arby's and then went to meet my OKCupid friend at her apartment. We had a nice chat.

So now I'm starting over with Apartments.com and found some possibilities. If I wanted to live in Mahomet (a small town a little east of Champaign), I could get everything that I want, but I'd be in a small town. I think that's my last resort.

Ack. I've had a headache since this afternoon. Maybe I should eat something. Hmm, I have homework to do but I keep yawning. I guess that I'll eat and see if it knocks me out. I'm tired. I'm going to bed.
