Woke up a little after 9 AM. Put laundry in the dryer. The girls are restless and very hungry. I looked at some U.K. webcams. They're having a gloomy day.

Speaking of Web cams, here's the jellyfish cam. It's mesmerizing and relaxing to watch.

Part of my Pottery Barn refund has gone through. I hope that the rest will come soon. At least, I know that they got the package.

Napped. Woke up before the alarm. Had lunch.

Yikes. The snow removal guy is charging me $60 to do my new place. A snow blower would earn its keep fairly quickly. I paid the snow removal guy and told him to wait until the storm blows over because there's no point in doing it twice.

Ran over to the storage unit. On my way there, I noticed that the local hospital supply place was open, so I went in to ask about my CPAP. They said that CPAPs were supplied in Springfield and that they were running three months behind on supplying them. I told her that I was moving, and she recommended finding a place in Champaign-Urbana.

I discovered that plastic tape works better in the cold than paper tape. I got more plastic tape.

Then I went to Walmart. It was the most busy that I had seen it, given the snowstorm and Christmas this weekend. The packed aisles were giving me the heebie-jeebies. They were cleaned out of bread. I must have been hungry because I bought a bunch of cookies. I also bought a lot of cleaning supplies. I'm ready for the cats and I to be stuck here for a few days.

Zara wants food. Now.

I checked when the storm will start. 9 AM tomorrow. Now the forecasters aren't saying "blizzard," but they are saying "blowing snow".

Napped with Mimi. Now Zara came by to say "Hi'.

Decided that I wanted to go back to sleep. But I staged boxes, tape, and bubble wrap for the morning. I hope that it won't be too much of a mess outside because I need to throw some stuff out.

Woke up at 5 AM. Decided that was too early to get up and slept until 9. Took a nap after breakfast and woke up after an hour. So I'm well-rested :)

Exchanged texts with a colleague who was wondering how my move went.

Oh yeah, there is some snow, but nothing major yet. Put the faucets on to drip because it's 8 F (actual, not wind chill) (It's going down to -8 F with a wind chill of -28 F). They're right about blowing snow; the wind has picked up. Dashed out to throw some stuff out. Yep, snowy and windy.

Zara is perched on top of some boxes. Everything is a cat tree.

Cranked up Lady Gaga and started packing. Where does she get her energy? I'm a still life with headphones and bubble wrap. I'm going to have to put the kitchen pots that I use less often down in the basement in the new place. I have shelves covered in plastic.

Uh-oh. The lights flickered.

It's getting treacherous to walk about here with all the boxes, and we have a week to go. Oh, for the footing of a cat.

Ate dinner in front of the TV. I was wondering if they had more on the storm but nothing new. Things are thumping in the wind. I'm glad that I'm indoors. Took a look outside. It doesn't look that bad. Cold and windy though.

I don't know why I'm so tired today. The girls are snoozing a lot too. Hibernation weather. Mimi is a heat vampire.

Silence from my professors about grades.

I watched some CNN about the report from the January 6th Committee. They're recommending that Donald Trump be barred from holding public office again. Good.

The wind is howling and makes me feel cold just listening to it. I think that I'm going to go hibernate with the girls.
