Light Dusting

The snow wasn't bad. Just a light dusting. I'm staying in because it's still kind of cold out plus it's supposed to snow again. It is. It's kind of pretty under my porch light.

I just wrote Dad asking for pointers on how to discuss assisted living with Mom. He said to be straightfoward with her. Actually, I think that the first thing is to get her back steps replaced with shallower steps and a handrail. Both her front and back steps are treacherous. I'm also looking at lift-assist recliners.

I booked a junk removal guy for late in the day on Thursday. He'll take the futon in the office, the cat tree, my falling-apart entertainment center, and the washer.

Did some packing. I managed to break two glasses while I was packing them. Way to go. And no matter how organized I try to be, I wind up with some boxes of miscellaneous stuff.

I need to go to bed because I want to get up and out early.

Let My Love Open the Door

I took my morning meds last night. I'm completely discombobulated.

It's currently 17F with a wind chill of 5, so I'm going to wait a while before going out. It's supposed to warm up some.

Dozed for a while. Got dressed and I'm going to eat lunch as soon as Zara gets off my lap :)

Went to the storage place. As soon as I got there, I started having IBS issues. Hell. I wanted to get stuff done though, so I hung on and got a lot done. (I dove for the bathroom as soon as I got home though.) I'm warming up and then will get the old, falling-apart boxes out of the car (done).

The weather wasn't bad though. It was 27F with no wind. I actually overheated a little while I was working.

But it's cold in my house. I lay down to warm up with Mimi, who is plastered to me. I tried to take a nap, but I popped up to look up Pete Townshend on my phone. Etc. My mind doesn't want to nap.

I listened to some of Pete Townshend's solo albums. "Let My Love Open the Door" was playing in my head for some reason, which started this whole thing off. I want to listen to Who's Next also.

I just remembered that my professor wanted pictures of us, so I just uploaded one. I hope that it isn't too late for what she's doing. I did my change of address with USPS and Comcast. I got some nice coupons for Wayfair and Overstock.

I need to do a bunch of laundry. And I found a person who wants my dryer.

Mimi is on my lap, blocking the path of progress. I need to get stuff together to drop off the girls tomorrow (done).

Need to crash and get up early to drop the girls off.
