No Garbage Can :(

Ugh. The outlets above the built-in desk don't work. I have to run cords to the power strip partway down the room. There are a lot of outlets here that don't work. Sigh.

The garbage pickup people did not drop off my garbage can today as they said that they would. I left a message and emailed them, but they must be gone for the weekend. I'm not impressed. In the meantime, I guess that I'll put garbage bags in my garage. At least, I have less because of recycling.

My colleague/friend offered to let me drop off some garbage in her can, which was nice. I'll do that tomorrow.

I finished Prince Harry's book. If it's accurate, Prince William comes off as a bully and egotistical. The fight he picked with Harry is getting a lot of press, but he did a lot of gaslighting, which in my mind is worse. I'm aware that I'm getting only one side of the story, but I remember someone saying that William ordered Kate around when she was his girlfriend. Guy appears to have quite the ego. Now I'm reading about Carole Lombard.

Took a nap and overslept an hour and a half.

My order of the folding chairs was cancelled. Bummer.

Had spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner. It was good. Got my nighttime tasks done, and I'm going back to sleep after giving Mimi her pets as a rightful due :)

Ready for the Junk Hauler

Woke up a little after 9 AM. Gave the girls their morning excitement known as "food". Now they and I are about to take naps (done).

There's a fat, red cardinal that lives in the back yard. It's cheerful to look at.

Dropped off my garbage at my colleague/friend's place. Drove to Lincoln. Unhooked my washer with help from the Internet. Started working on the home office room, where they're taking the futon tomorrow. Ordered McDonald's DoorDash. I think that I found the missing cable in case it doesn't come today. I found the charger for the FitBit too.

I got everything that I wanted to get done done (unhook the washer and clear the home office, where the futon is). I'm going to leave in a few minutes.

I'm back, yawning, which is good because I need to get up early to meet the junk hauler tomorrow.

Oy. Talked to Mom, and she went into a tirade about how her life sucks. We agreed that I would come out mid-February. She's going to see her primary care doctor in two weeks though, which is good.

Got my nighttime tasks done, so I'm going to shower and sleep.
