House Hunting Day 2

Crud, I forgot to contact the pet sitter about extending my stay. I just texted her. She probably will be able to take care of the girls. Yeah, she's doing it.

Woke up at 6:30 AM. Had a muffin. I'm going to shower (done) and then take a nap.

Met the real estate agent. Saw one house. In the other one, the person said that they were asleep, and we gave up. I made an offer on the house for which I published pictures the other day (!), contingent on the owners making some repairs. The closing date would be December 29th, which would just delay me a little in moving. Now we wait. They accepted my offer, including the items that need to be fixed. So yay! I guess that I'll be a homeowner! Here's the listing for those who are interested (real estate porn!)

I am having brain zaps due to the lack of one of my meds. Sigh.

I'm free for the rest of the day, so I think that I'll nap. Napped for a half-hour, and then woke up abruptly. I'm not sure what to do now, although I need to do laundry. I'm kind of battling depression. Started laundry.

Read an interesting review in the Washington Post of Michael Cunningham's new novel Day. He is an author I like, so I bought it for the Kindle. The Wash Post also had an article about surviving the holidays when you're grieving, and it suggested buying and donating a gift in honor of your loved one. I'll think about that.

Laundry is done. I might turn on the TV to see what that's like. (I generally don't watch TV except for streaming.)

Hmm, I'm eyeing Nest cams for the new house inspired by susandennis. When I had a cam in the past, my mom was the one who viewed it the most though (that was when I was living in California and we didn't see each other much). I suppose that my dad might check them occasionally. It would be a way for him to see the house because I doubt that he's coming here any time soon. I'm leery of putting one in my home office though because I work in pajamas often. Well, I have to take possession of the house first.

Chose my BistroMD meals. They claim that it'll come on Thanksgiving, but I doubt it.

I had to upgrade my WiFi to get TV, only to find that PBS is running a special about Native Americans and CNN is running a special about the war in Sudan. Both would be educational, but I'm not feeling educational, so I turned it off. I'll just read.

I went outside and ran into a guy who needed to jump start his car, so I brought my car over. I'm going to eat a roll and go to bed. I want to call my doctor first thing in the morning.
