Travel Day

I made it to Champaign-Urbana. No matter how organized I try to be, I can't seem to leave before the late afternoon. However, the trust said that they had the check that they owed me, so I stalled a little, but they never got the check to me. Anyway, I'm here and need to sleep fast.

Closing Fiasco

I got up in plenty of time. First, we had the walkthrough at the house. I discovered that what I thought was a dining room was in fact a bedroom. We also discovered that the current owners left a bunch of personal stuff behind. They're sending someone over to get rid of it.

Annnd then the wire transfer from the trust had not arrived yet. I called, and they sent it this morning rather than yesterday. The attorney and real estate person asked if I had a receipt for the wire transfer, but of course, I didn't, because the trust sent it. As of 5 PM, the wire transfer hasn't gone through.

I liked the attorney that I hired though. He was good at explaining the documents that I was signing.

So I'm kind of in limbo. I'm supposed to meet the painter at 4:30 PM tomorrow, but I won't get the keys until the wire transfer goes through. I could ask the real estate agent if she could let me in.

Annnd Google Keep ate my original entry.

I'm trying to count my blessings because I do feel put upon. Can't something go smoothly? Anyway, I really like the (used) down coat that I bought. It looks very nice and stylish. And it's warm.

Took a nap but snapped awake after an hour. That usually is a sign of stress in me.

Went to Meijer and picked up frozen dinners for lunch and dinner. I bought a lot of pasta, diet be damned. I need a way to wind down.

I want to go to sleep, but it's a little after 7, though it's an hour later for me. I'll go to bed early.

Oh, also I have a mole that just showed up recently, and I need to have it checked out, which means finding a doctor in Michigan. The fun never stops. Or maybe I should look for one in Urbana because I'm planning to come down here for the painting. Hmm. I found a dermatologist in Champaign.
