I've almost decided that the library/guest room should be a music room. With bookcases because I'll need lots of bookcases. But it would be nice to corral all the music paraphernalia in one room. If/when I get a player piano, though, that will go in the living room because the idea is to have it available for parties.

I've decided to paint the guest bathroom cream. I will want to have the ugly tub refinished eventually. But when I find the guest bathroom shower curtain--it has elephants on it in honor of my mom--it'll provide an easier, cheaper fix.

I've been looking at bookcases on Wayfair. I need to check Overstock.com too. The bookcases will be one of the first things that I'll order so that I can put my books up.

I woke up a little before my alarm. I needed to log on because my Xfinity payment was on the old card, and I needed to update it. My mobile is on there, so it's pretty important!

I'm not going to get an early start this time. I need to get the keys cut. (I'm going to get the locks changed, but I'll do that the week that they move my stuff in. Meanwhile, the painter will need access.) I want to stop by the storage space to see if I can fish my air mattress out of there. Otherwise, I'll need to buy a new one. If I have an air mattress, I can stay at the house instead of at a hotel. There's a microwave, refrigerator, and even a washer and dryer! And I want to do some measurements at the house. And I want to stop at the post office so that they'll hold my mail.

I thought of looking at the real estate listing for some measurements. That'll save a little time.

It's still really foggy out. Hmm. I guess that I'll run my errands and see how it is when I'm done.

I stopped for gas, and there was a Subway there, so I got a meatball sandwich.

I couldn't find my air mattress, and realized that I don't know where the bedding is. Crap. So I went to Walmart and bought an air mattress, bedding, pillows, and some soda and frozen food to keep in the house. Then I realized that I need towels for the shower too. So I went back in and bought towels. Stopped at the post office to have them hold my mail.

Went to the house and unloaded everything. Measured the stairs going down into the basement, and I think that the freezer will fit.

Then I hit the road. It was still foggy, but not too bad. The fog got worse in Ohio. I didn't listen to music the entire time because I was concentrating on driving in the fog. I stopped for dinner at a Perkins restaurant, and they had awesome food and a great waitress.

And I made it back. Apparently I passed the "cat scan". Zara was talkative, and now Mimi finally came downstairs. I'm going to feed them and go to bed! At least I can sleep in tomorrow!

Oh crud. I was going to check the washer in the new house to see what detergent it uses (regular or HE). And I forgot. I'll have to check it the next time that I'm down there.

I was able to sleep in, so I woke up at 9AM. Bah. Took a nap after breakfast, didn't set an alarm, and woke up exactly when I would have woken up had I set an alarm.

It doesn't feel like Christmas. Well, I have a bunch of things to do on my mom's house. Paid some bills. I guess that our Christmas present is being able to be together. I missed the girls. Oh, and the house is a GREAT Christmas present!

Crap. I ordered a CD of Tony Bennett singing traditional Christmas songs, and apparently I never checked out on Amazon. I ordered it anyway so that I'll have it next year. So much for my music. I need to raid Mom's CDs and see if she had any Christmas music.

I'm looking at toilet paper racks for my bathroom in the new house. I'm thinking a freestanding one. There isn't a lot of wall space near the toilet.

Selected my BistroMD meals and updated my card. Took another nap. Ordered some of the paint for the new house. I got the big rooms (the living room and upstairs room plus my bedroom). I'll have to wait to order the rest of it.

Somehow it's gotten late, so I'm going to go to sleep. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it.
