Zara's Turn

I was looking at Nest doorbells, thermostats, and cameras, and I think that I’ll need an electrician unless the handyman can install them. Speaking of electricity, I’m looking at solar companies, but that will be a project for another year. Now I'm looking at Ring devices.

Woke up before my alarm. Gave Zara her sedative in her food. Breakfast, nap, lunch.

Zara is clearly stoned. I hope that helps me get her in the carrier. It did. That sedative is a miracle drug. She didn’t fight me at all or yowl. Mimi was in the next room and didn’t freak out.

We’re back. Zara got a little testy when they clipped her nails but otherwise was okay. She was good when they gave her the shot. They’re going to call me with an estimate for a dental visit.

It’s raining, so I’ll get keys cut another day. I brought my BistroMD meals in.

Took another nap. Zara came upstairs to nose around! Maybe the sedative is wearing off.

Started laundry. Went through a box and a basket from the crawl space. I don’t see the player piano rolls. I’ll have to look in the basement. No, they're not there either. They do have piano rolls on eBay. Brought down a big bag of garbage.

The organizer’s assistant is coming tomorrow to throw stuff outside out so I can get rid of the dumpster. So I need to get up early (ish). I’ll go to bed when my laundry is in the dryer.

I forgot to say RIP Tommy Smothers. You fought the good fight. I just got a book about the Smothers Brothers.

Oh good. The paint swatches for the kitchen have shipped.
