Packing Day

I woke up a little before my alarm, went back to sleep, and overslept a little. Put clothes in the dryer. Fed us all.

Got the money for the packing guy. I’m resting a minute and then I’ll get recycling and garbage out (done).

Donovan the packer guy is here. We had a pile of clothes that I was going to donate, but the resale shop is closed. I particularly wanted to donate to that shop because they gave their proceeds to people in need. So Donovan is unpacking the bags and putting them in the closet and armoire for sale at the estate sale. I asked him if he had music because it’s going to be tedious.

I just made lunch. I’m planning to eat it and then do some packing too. I packed coats and shoes and am now working on the dining room. I've started marking furniture too.

The packing guy is gone. We'll need another couple of sessions to clear the bed, and need to find places to put clothes. I need to empty a dresser, which has jewelry in it. He said that he would be free on Wednesdays as well as Sundays.

Had a nice nap. Now I'm struggling with math problems. Kahn Academy is helping.

My fuzzy tyrants have taught me to feed them four times a day (small amounts each time). Spoiled? Being spoiled is wonderful, they say.

I need to contact the movers for the local move of my stuff in Urbana. I have two tests that week, which complicates things. I prefer the 19th because I have a test on the 20th that just requires me to have the Web cam on my laptop on. The other test requires my phone on Zoom. I just ordered a battery pack for my iPhone for the test. I need to install Zoom too (done).

Okay, I finished the section of math that I was working on. And I think that I'm getting it. I have more to work on tomorrow. And now I'm going to do dishes and go to bed.

Things Are Piling Up

I should make an appointment with the cat behaviorist too. Time is flying. I'd like to talk to her before the move and after the move. You get eight weeks of follow up. The Web site says that you can schedule an appointment from one to seven days after payment. Do I want an appointment next week? Okay, I paid for a session and filled out the intake form.

I checked in with the painter, and he had only the kitchen left to do. He said that it was going over the estimate due to the ton of masking that he had to do in the bathrooms. Oh well. It looks like we should be on schedule for the move.

Ack. I'm trying to get the trust to pay the invoice for the new garage door at my mom's house, but I can't reach the person who would pay.

Yay. I got the Urbana movers scheduled to get my stuff out of storage on the date that I wanted (the 19th). I'll go down on Saturday and pay the painter on Sunday.

Things are piling up at work. I might need to put in some overtime, but I don't know when. I guess that I'll keep working on Tuesday night until I get everything done. Ack! Deep breath.

I attended a very helpful Office Hours with the TA for my algoritms (math) class. He was a classmate of mine last year, and he is great (better than our prof, really) at explaining math. I got the garbage and recycling out. I ran to the post office to mail my return from Short Story.

Now I need to do math, math, and more math until late. Well, I'm getting a crashing headache, so I'll get up early to do more math.
