Italian Teacher

I had my meeting with the Italian teacher. She is very expensive, but I think that she'll be very good. She said that her lessons are mostly about speaking, and I can do homework to prepare for her lessons, which is what I want. She said that I need to be more confident about speaking, and if I make a mistake, no big deal. (She thinks that I remember more Italian than I think.) She's going to talk to her accountant and send an invoice to me. I'll have to write Mimmo after the first lesson to thank him for the referral. I'm also going to keep up with the vocabulary and verb work that I have been doing.

Okay, I got an Italian keyboard app on my iPhone. The teacher wants to communicate on WhatsApp.

It looks like most of my bookcases will arrive today, so I need to make room for them.

I can't stop yawning. I'm looking forward to my lunchtime nap.

One bookcase has arrived. I made a spot to stash them.

Okay, weird. The bookcases had an old address in Lincoln on them. They called me and I told them the new address. Oops. But I got something that I thought was a bookcase this morning. It seems too small to be the standing desk. No, it was the standing desk.

I attended a webinar about financial emergency preparedness. It got me thinking. I'd prefer to have my financial information online because my dad is in Nevada, and he'd have to deal with things if something happened to me. But it has to be secure. I'm looking into NordLocker, which provides secure file storage online.

I ordered a lightweight robe for summer. When I'm about to take a shower and need to run grab something, I've been running around the house with a towel tucked around me, which is probably more of me than my neighbors want to see :) I have a fuzzy warm robe for winter that my mom bought me. I need to find it though!

I was looking at sexy underwear and bras for plus sizes. If I lose the weight that I want, I’ll still be plus-sized but lose the “spare tire”. Torrid has some interesting stuff. Okay, I found something that I like on Felina.com. And it would fit me now, so it should fit me when I lose weight. Speaking of which, my Jenny Craig order is shipping. It’s supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Hmm. I need to get the garbage out, but they’re saying heavy rain for the next hour. I’ll wait until later.

I tidied up the upstairs and got the garbage to take out and recycling ready for tomorrow. Took the garbage out to be picked up tomorrow.

I need to study Italian yet. I won’t get a full night’s sleep. I spent some time looking at Internet posts about sexy Italian and Italian swear words. That counts as studying Italian, right? :) Studied Italian the traditional way. Now to bed.

Entropy Increases

Oh fuck. Target is taking the bookcases back and refunding the money. Did I say “Fuck”? The items go off sale this week, and I can't afford to order the twice. Some were delivered to the wrong address. What a mess. (I had an old address in my profile. My bad.)

Overslept, but got into work on time. I'm having a bad IBS day, so I might skip tai chi.

I got my Jenny Craig diet food. I’m glad that I have the freezer in the basement because it wouldn’t fit in the freezer in my refrigerator. My diet starts tomorrow. My only question is whether I can recycle the Styrofoam cooler that the food came in. I guess that I’ll put it out with the recycling, and either they will take it or they won’t. Though it might be good to have a Styrofoam cooler, but it doesn't have handles.

Apparently I do remember my Italian from the first lessons better than I thought. I plucked "you will do" (tu ferai) out from thin air. I didn't think that I remembered future tense.

Crap. The Murano glass circle from my watch from Venice is missing! I looked around but didn't see it. I found another Murano glass watch on eBay, but I'd rather fix the one that I have.

I did go to tai chi. The teacher and one of the people in the class told me not to get discouraged. I said that movement wasn't my strong suit and I haven't studied anything like dance.

I found the glass circle from my watch! And it's intact! I don’t have crazy glue in the house, so I’ll pick some up from Meijer tomorrow. I am so relieved!

I contacted Target about the bookcases, and they said that they would submit the order "for review," and someone will contact me via email. I tried a reverse lookup for the old address to see if I could contact the person who lives there, but got no results.

I thought about skipping Italian because I have to get up early and take down my desk and put the new desk upstairs and take out the recycling, but I did study. Now I need to get to bed quickly.
