Long Day

I have some hassles going on at work and might need to work this evening. Zara says that she’ll make everything better with kitty snuggles. And a lot of my colleagues will be online tonight too.

Crap. I way overslept my nap. Had my second Tony Bourdain dream ever. He was nice in the dream.

Scrambled to get some stuff done at work.

Attended another lovely yoga class. The teacher worked us hard this time. She is really nice though. I was doing a pose wrong, and she just said, “I don’t think that you’ll get the stretch the way that you’re doing it”. I have a couple of poses that I want to work on on the days that we don’t have class.

It’s funny that I’m into yoga because I don’t think of myself as a “yoga person,” who is skinny and bendy and kind of trendy. My teacher is encouraging me though.

A guy was watching us, or more likely, watching the teacher, through the window. I got kind of annoyed because we weren’t there for his entertainment. Though to be fair, I was eyeing Italian guys in Italy…but I wasn’t staring through a window at an exercise class. I think that part of it was that we were on our hands and knees, and I didn’t particularly want to be watched doing it.

Did enough work tonight to satisfy the person with the open tickets that I am working on their request. Paid some bills. Asked on the local "Buy Nothing" page if anyone has any outdoor bird feeders that were gathering dust. I would like a bird feeder as Kitty TV.

Studied Italian. I'm working my way through the Italian verbs poster. Sent a message to my teacher asking her if I found the right textbook.

Now it's late and it's bedtime.

Another Month Bites the Dust

Oh cool. threemeninaboat on DW mentioned a volunteer group in which you write postcards encouraging voters to vote. That's more like me than knocking on doors. I sent an email asking to volunteer. They responded, and I need to do a "sample postcard," take a picture of it, and send it to them. I ordered some postcards to use to do the sample.

We had a doozy of a storm this morning. I got out of the shower, and it was pitch dark. Lots of lightning. They said that there might be more storms later today.

More craziness at work. And I need to work tonight because I overslept my nap.

Someone in a Facebook group mentioned an electric tiller. I had only looked at gas ones, which are heavy, and electric tillers are much lighter! I wishlisted a cordless one for next Spring.

I was thinking that the last guy to whom I was strongly attracted was also a dark-haired guy from Europe (Denmark). What is it with me and European men? I should move to Europe :) Maybe it's the European genes that I have (Lithuanian and Polish). I have no "American" genes at all. It's all from a small area of Europe.

Crud. I tried the new remote, and the upstairs TV doesn’t work. I found a TV repair place in the area, but I’ll have to wait to get it fixed. In the meantime, I’ll listen to audiobooks on the treadmill. I need an adapter to plug the headphones in to my iPhone, which will come tomorrow.

The good news: I went and got the dresser that was for sale on Facebook Marketplace. And I really like it! It looks like it was built in the 1930s. The bad news: I need to get someone to help me bring it in. And I'm too wiped out to work, so I'm going to go to bed and get up early to take out the recycling, study Italian, and make up time for work.
