Christmas To-Do List

Cats: We’re hungry!
Me: You didn’t finish your food from last time.
Cats: That was then; This is meow.

Woke up at 4 AM. Went back to sleep. Woke up at 6 AM. Sigh. Cats: Mom, you’re up. Feed us!

It’s gray and supposedly raining. No white Christmas here!

Zara rubbed against me and went to eat more food.

Napped. Got up at 9:30. Ate lunch.

Okay. Things to do:

1. Laundry
2. Finish cleaning aquarium
3. Bring aquarium and related paraphernalia upstairs
4. Set up TV
5. Walk on treadmill
6. Work on library room
7. Clean litter boxes
8. Chop up veggies for chowder

I’m thinking of adopting another cat. I found one on the Champaign Humane Society’s website whose face speaks to me. He has lived with other cats and dogs. But I need to get the library room ready for him while he and the girls get used to each other.

The algae scraper did not work but an SOS pad did work. The aquarium is drying.

I came upstairs to check stuff off the list, so I think that I'll post and use strikethrough. I also found the recipe for the soup.

Christmas, Continued

I took a short nap because it’s a holiday and Zara wanted snuggle time. Mimi came downstairs to complain at me.

I’ve been reading Jim Hutton’s book about Freddy Mercury. It's interesting. Finished it.

Got the aquarium upstairs. Took the backing off because I want to be able to see the tank from my desk. Ordered a new filter pad.

Started washing litter boxes. Most of them need to be cleaned.

I ate dinner, took a nap, and ran out of steam. I'm going to get up early to work on the library room.

Mimi is on my lap, purring and making it difficult to type.
