Got up with my alarm at 4 AM. Went back to sleep at 5:30 AM. I’ve decided to put Oliver in the warm bathroom for the time being. I’m tired.

Zara is confused because I fed her earlier. She wants more food now!

I subscribed to Consumer Reports online. (My dad subscribed me to the magazine.) I wanted to read their ratings of hearing aids. They said that Costco is the best place to buy them.

Someone is selling a ten-gallon tank in Bloomington (about an hour from here) for $15. I’d like to use it as a quarantine tank.

I was opening a kitty tunnel for Oliver when I cut myself. It’s a bird; it’s a plane; it’s SuperKlutz! At least my First Aid Kit had a bandage in it.

Zara and I played with one of the sticks with feathers. She loved it. I need to lay in a supply of them.

Zara saw the cat carrier and noped out. I told her that it wasn’t for her. The gate is too wide for the bathroom door, which is a complication that I didn’t expect. I have it kind of wedged in.

Anyway, I have food, water, a litter box, a bed, and cat toys set up in the warm bathroom along with the carrier. I think that I’ll eat something and take a nap.

Zara doesn’t like the gate in front of the warm bathroom. She started banging the gate, so I took it down. She ate a little of the kitten food.

Napped. Threw myself together.

Went to the Humane Society. Signed the paperwork and got Oliver. They said that he walked into the carrier! You’re going to think that I’m crazy, but his sister’s adopters backed out, so I’m going to meet her tomorrow and probably adopt her too.

Oliver did not like the car and let me know. He’s now in the warm bathroom. Zara and Mimi haven’t met him yet. He loves the ball on a circular track. He plays with it and twirls around. Apparently it’s endlessly fascinating. He stops playing and rubs up against me. (I think that his nickname will be “lover boy” because he’s so cuddly.) I’d say he’s settling well.

Mimi has seen Oliver. She’s not thrilled and is growling a little. Now Zara has seen Oliver. She went right up to the gate and wasn’t hissing. You go, girl!

Napped with Zara. Man, I’m tired.

Oliver has a bottomless pit for a stomach. He ate all the dry food and wet food too. After I left his temporary room, he knocked the gate down and came flying out. I told him that he was going to have to deal with Zara and Mimi. Mimi was watching him earlier without hissing or growling.

He’s figured out how to get the ball out of his toy, so I ordered more for him.

I think that I’ll eat and go to bed.

Oliver followed me upstairs. Mimi is not amused. And he walked on my laptop and changed its colors to grayscale. So far, I haven't been able to fix it :(
