A good day

days_unfoldingYesterday, I hit the gym in the first time in years. Somewhat to my surprise, I enjoyed myself. I was able to push myself surprisingly hard given how out of shape I am. My only concern was that a tendon in my arm was inflamed this morning, but it seems better now.
I was at home basking in post-workout afterglow when the phone rang. It was my mom, calling from London. Her flight to Chicago was canceled, but she was able to catch an earlier flight, so she made her connection to the British Airways flight. Then British Airways lost her luggage (although they found it and sent it to her hotel). In a nutshell, she's having a good time but her trip seems to be glitch-ridden.
Monday morning, I'm having my oral surgery. Here's hoping that it will go well.
