Dream Trip to Africa?

days_unfoldingMy mom said that she wanted to go to Africa when she was a kid. (I wanted to go to Japan as a kid.) She also really likes elephants. I think that she should go sometime, so I researched a trip for her. Now all we need is around $6000 each and 13 days. (Too bad that when you have the time, you don't have the money, and vice versa.)
The trip is a tour that starts in Cape Town, spends a couple of days in a wild animal preserve, goes to Victoria Falls, and goes to Johannesburg.
The flight over is epic; it leaves New York at 11 AM one day (and we'd have to get to New York from Detroit), we'd change planes in Johannesburg, and we'd arrive in Cape Town at 4 PM the following day. We'd want to add an extra day to recover from the flight.
