We gave them sedatives on the trip down to Springfield, and they reacted well to them. Maybe I should call the vet in Michigan to see what they gave them. It's an eight-hour trip (at least, not counting stops). The sedatives did help. Even when they wore off near the end of the trip, the cats still stayed calm.
