days_unfoldingI went trolling for "road trip" pictures. I did a few locally on old Route 66. I had thought to take some on the road to Peoria, but that gets a lot of traffic, and I didn't want to get creamed when I was on the side of the road. So I took Route 10, which goes through a lot of farm country, and eventually ends up in Champaign-Urbana. I had someone tailgating me, which I didn't like, but managed to turn off onto a county road and take pictures. (The farmers probably thought that I was nuts, but I don't care.) I think that this picture is the winner:

I also got a picture of a Route 66 sign here in town.
I have a closeup of it to use as the profile pic for the Facebook page for the blog.
I ran some errands (returned some library books and dropped some clothes at a thrift shop). Now I'm home. I'm taking a short break, and then I'll start laundry and scrubbing litter boxes.
