Shopping the Sales

I was reading a book called Suddenly Frugal. In it, the writer was talking about grocery shopping for sale items. I logged onto Kroger's Web site, and found that Zara and Mimi's wet food is on sale for a really good price. Plus they have a sale on chicken thighs for $0.99 a pound. (I still want to eat more veggies, but I'm not going to go strictly vegetarian right now.) I found a slow cooker recipe for Honey-Garlic Chicken Thighs. So that and some rice are on the menu.
I went to give Harlee her pill, assuming that it would be a little pill like the other one. No, it was an enormous capsule. Crud, I thought, how am I going to get her to take that? I covered it with two Pill Pockets, not doing a great job of it because the capsule was so large. But I'll be damned, she swallowed it.
Wrote in my planning book, and I'm off to bed. I want to get up early and do some stuff around here before work.
