Got up, threw myself together, packed, loaded the car, and got to class early. Go me. The Airbnb owner was chatting with me a little while, and I worried that I'd run late, but it was okay.

I need to learn coding from books and online classes because I have a hell of a time following live code examples. Or at least, I have trouble following along on my computer.

Class is over. I decided to look for a restaurant in the downtown of the suburb that I'm in, and found a cafe with breakfast food. Perfect. The food was delicious.

Back home now. Stopped en route and took an hour nap. Stopped in Bloomington to get food for Harlee.

I'm going to eat something. Then I think a nap is in order.

I really conked out. The next thing I knew, my mom was calling for our weekly phone call. I asked to call her back in a few minutes, but snapped wide awake because we had agreed that we would play this call by ear, and I was going to call her when I felt up to it.

I was right that something was wrong. 1) Mom has pneumonia. They decided not to hospitalize her, but gave her lots of medication, and are keeping an eye on her. 2) The doctors want to take out my aunt's colon and bladder given where her cancer is. She also joined an experimental program in which the experimental group would get radiation plus chemo, but she was put in the control group, which would get just radiation. She asked how much extra time the chemo would buy, and they said four months, and she didn't think that it would be worth it anyway.

I've fed the cats, and they have settled down. I'm clearly tired, so I'm going to sleep soon.
