RIP Aretha Franklin

We have a few rooms in the house. So both cats are spending the day in the bedroom. Even though they don't like each other. Sheesh :)

 

Done with my load files. Hallelujah. 

 

I was surprised that some of Aretha Franklin's best-known songs ("Respect," "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman") weren't written by her. Nonetheless, she OWNED those songs. (Otis Redding, who wrote "Respect," called it the song that was taken away from him.) What a singer.

 

Apparently Walmart does have tofu. I need to look for a tofu stir-fry recipe. Though my system might go into shock over the healthy food.

 

Quite the light show outside. I wish that the storm would produce some serious rain though.
