Distracted Day

days_unfoldingZara is busy knocking books down (sigh). Mimi is in a crinkly brown paper bag that she likes. A quiet morning at home.
I did put in requests at the public library for DVDs of Darkest Hour and The Favourite, both movies that I had wanted to see and missed. Free entertainment is always good.
I've been somewhat distracted at work by the news about Kobe Bryant. I'm not a sports fan, but of course, I've heard of him. I think that I'm never going in a helicopter again. Too many crashes with famous people in them. I remember the ones with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Bill Graham. Too many crashes without famous people in them too. My mom and I were talking about the one in Hawaii. She commented that we just took one while we were there without knowing anything about the safety record of the company. We took a lot of risks on those days.
I'm going to sleep because I have to get up early for my teleconference. I'm wondering if I can mute my cell phone so that I could do some sneak-cleaning during the call.
