Quiet Day

Zara has deemed the kd canned food edible. Good deal. However, Zara also eats some dry food, so I'm wondering if I need to feed them both kd dry food too?

During my nap, I slept two hours past my alarm. Yikes.

I'm really fighting the impulse to stay home. But the forecasters are predicting rain, snow, and sleet tomorrow. A good day to stay home.

I did go to the store. They were out of cauliflower, so I bought some frozen cauliflower and the ingredients for the soup. Just barely got home and brought in the groceries before my call with Mom.

Mom is preparing for her trip to Chicago next week. She's already packed. She says that she misses me. (I miss her too.) She's not sure how long she'll be in Chicago. She said to not be surprised if she drops in, and I asked her to give me a little notice but she's welcome. I told her that the girls are sleeping in my bedroom/bathroom, so she'd have the futon to herself.

I'm going to study Italian and go to bed.
