Did I say something about two steps forward and one step back?

The Wellbutrin is helping a lot and hurting somewhat. When I went out yesterday to run errands, some of the cotton wool had lifted. My reaction time when I drove was better, I had more energy, and felt a little impatient. The impatience worried me a little, but I suspect that a little impatience keeps things moving. However, when I was at WalMart, a cashier forgot to deactivate security on an item, and I set off the exit alarm, but I genuinely didn't feel upset, so it's probably okay. The Wellbutrin didn't give me insomnia either.

But it is making me nauseous. Certain smells (such as cleaning the cat's litterbox) really turn my stomach. Spicy foods also really mess me up. Last night, I made some salmon burgers with tons of garlic in them, and had problems with the garlic. I had to lie down to settle my stomach for a while when I took it today.

I'm hoping that this side effect is temporary. In the meantime, I'll probably have to stop the lo-carb diet because nothing settles an upset stomach as well as carbs. (I figured that I'd have to stop the diet to some extent anyway while I'm gone.)

Try some ginger for the nausea -- they sell the little pills/capsules in the grocery store. Nausea is common for SSRIs like Paxil, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, for the first two to four weeks. Usually it goes away after that.
