I woke up to snow! Maybe an inch of it. The ground is covered.
After a nap, I threw myself together and headed out. It was slushy and foggy. I brought soda at Dollar Tree. My car's tires slipped when I went down the driveway, scaring me. Then I got gas. Then I went to the post office to mail my mom's present to my aunt. The line was very long, so I used a self-service kiosk to print postage and dropped it in the slot for packages. Then I picked up ink for my mom's printer. Then I got food for the cats. And finally, I picked up a pretty "liquid lipstick" at Ulta (though you could argue that I don't need it because I wear masks all the time). Whew.
Then I gathered garbage and dragged the trash can and recycling bin to the curb.
We're expecting the dreaded "wintry mix" (freezing rain) tomorrow, so I'm thinking about staying through until Wednesday, when the weather should be better. I'll see how it looks in the morning. Now they're saying "wintry mix" in the afternoon, which is exactly what I don't want.
We had shrimp tempura with rice and cauliflower for dinner.
Oy. Mom's hot water doesn't work in her kitchen, and she was trying to heat up hot water on the stove and turned on the wrong burner. She had a mini-meltdown. I offered to do the dishes, but she said that I don't get the dishes clean enough. So I'm drying. We got most of the dishes done.
I tried to fix my mom's printer problems and reinstalled the driver, but it still isn't working. I went to tell Mom about it, but she's asleep.
