Possibilities

I'm a packrat, although I'm really trying to reform. However, whenever I get rid of something, I wind up needing it in the relatively near future.
I had a (computer) mouse in the trunk of my car for quite a long time. I think that it might have been left over from when I got rid of my previous computer. This fall, I wound up cleaning my trunk because San Jose airport searches cars that park in short-term parking. At that point, I wondered what in the world I'd do with an extra mouse, and threw it out.
Well, yesterday, I fried my mouse by spilling soda all over it. Perfect hit. And the first thing that I did was look for the extra mouse in the vain hope that I kept it after all.
Oh well. I wound up making an emergency run to CompUSA to get another one. Wound up with a Logitech track ball that I really like. (Logitech calls it a "marble mouse" for reasons known only to Logitech.)
I've been looking for online classes in Java (and other languages) to provide some credentials for potential employers.
allyn pointed me to the classes provided by his former employer, DigitalThink. Those classes will do quite well, although they're going to cost me a chunk of change. I feel a little guilty giving money to Allyn's former employer though. Anyway, I'm slamming through a UNIX class right now.
