Well, today started off with a bang. The system that we work on was down. Gobs of tickets telling us that it was down. And lots of meetings today, so it was kind of a lost day.

And I had a headache when I left work. Took a nap and slept through until morning. Woke up at 3:30 AM to two cats staring at me. Zara wanted her midnight snack! Got up and fed them and ate something as well. Now Zara's in her box. I think that she's grooming herself because she's making the box shake. I still have a headache.

I asked my dad where to park money if I was saving up for a car, and he said a money market account because interest rates are going up.

We've been getting lots of rain, which doesn't make it easy to get up. But I suppose that it's good for the farmers.

I wrote an Analytics report that someone was thrilled with, so I did something good today! No doubt that means that I will screw something up soon, but it was a nice end to the day.

Hmm. I'm thinking if I can't afford London this year, maybe I should travel in the US. Possibilities are Oregon (to check out Eugene and Salem, although I think that I'm priced out of retiring there), Seattle (I've never been there, and I have a friend from the area who said that I'd love it), or Washington DC (I went there as a kid, but would like to check out the museums now). I found a good Airbnb in Seattle. And one in Washington DC. Oh, except that I'd need a hotel, not an Airbnb, because I'd need to attend my classes from there. Hmm. I actually found a cheaper hotel in Washington DC than Seattle? That could be a cheap trip with free museums.

I had a feast for dinner tonight! Shrimp scampi, brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes. All made in the microwave. And I have more for dinner tomorrow!

spiffikins on DW suggested that I look at a Toyota RAV-4 Hybrid, and I think that will be my next car. A slightly used one would be ideal.

Did laundry and poked at my phone. I need to do something constructive. I got the mail. My doctor's office forgot that I had a blood test recently and was asking about it.

I got my Android boot camp book, and it looks like a great book. I need to start working with it. But not tonight. I need to clean up the kitchen and crash. Oh whoa, headache again.

Forgot to comment on the last post. We have a Subaru CrossTrek Hybrid and it’s a great car! The downside is it may be hard to find one for sale.

A few years ago, My brother ended up finding a good rate at the Watergate Hotel, of all places, when he was in DC. He didn’t see any “plumbers” while he was there, though.
