The other day, I bought Random about $30 worth of toys out of guilt because he's at home alone now. I've given one him thus far, and he batted at it only once or twice, and that was it.

I just knocked over a plastic cup with a lid and something inside that rattles. Apparently it's endlessly fascinating to Random. Go figure.

Too tired to write about anything of greater import.

Wish you had asked me before going out spending
money on cat toys. I've found that cats like to bat
around balled-up tin foil. I had a cat who loved marbles.
I had a large shooter marble, one he couldn't swallow.)
I'd put the marble into the empty bathtub because he
loved hanging out in the tub too. He would play with
that marble for hours, and it seemed like he was playing
hockey! He'd bat the marble towards the drain, and get
to the drain before the marble arrived! God he was so
cute & smart. If you don't mind, I'm going to leave a pic
of him here. He also liked to steal my pens/pencils.

He knew it too. A wonderful cat,
he died a few years ago.

Cute kitty-;)

Random's a very funny cat because he doesn't play with stuff (sanctioned or unsanctioned) very much. However, I was reading cat behavior books and got the guilts because he isn't getting much stimulation, so I bought the toys.

I tried the tinfoil, and he did play with it for a little while. I also tried another one of the toys I bought (a string with feathers that hangs off a wand that I can move) and that toy got the most attention that I've seen him give to a toy. However, he soon got fed up with it, and first turned his back, and then ran away.

Maybe napping is Random's preferred form of activity. Works for me-;)

I bought Twit a little box of three catnip mice sitting in catnip pellets. She only like one of them. She'll play with that one endlessly and totally ignore the others. Cats!
