Cargo Van?

I decided that I wanted to take a nap over lunch, and I'll drop off Mom's canes next week.

I found a used Honda CR-V that I like, but of course, it's in Champaign and I'm in Michigan. Hmm. I found more locally.

I couldn't find Mimi. She is sleeping on my mom's bed, which apparently is now her bed. She is not dissuaded by the hangers on the bed.

I lost Internet access in the middle of a meeting at work. It turned out to be the VPN based in Urbana. Apparently they're having a hell of a storm. The power company called me and said that the power is out at my place in Urbana. A colleague had a tree fall down, but at least it missed her house.

I'm thinking that I want to get a used cargo van and rent it out. I bet that it would get a lot of renters. I couldn't get both the van and the CR-V though. But I just got my car fixed. If I got a van up here, I'd have no problem getting all my stuff back too. There's a lot of delicate stuff that I don't want movers to take. I emailed the new car insurance company and the people selling the van that I like. I found a company who will look over the van for problems (for a fee, of course).

We're still having air quality alerts due to smoke.

Tried to take a nap but couldn't sleep. Just as well--I need to get up early tomorrow because the junk guys will be here. And I certainly hope that nothing will go wrong tomorrow!

Started laundry. I'm going to wait until it's in the dryer and then will go to sleep. Sent my auto insurance declarations to the potential new insurance company.
