This morning, Random was weaving back and forth in front of my feet while I stumbled to the kitchen, half-asleep, muttering "mutter mutter CAT mutter mutter". Then I really looked at what he was doing. He would move forward, stop, look back to see if I was following, and weave back and forth when I caught up. Then I realized that he was trying to lead me to the kitchen (presumably to be fed). The weaving kept me from getting too far forward, and he kept looking back to make sure that I didn't fall behind. Hmm, maybe I should nominate him for a leadership award because he led me where I wanted to go. On the other hand, he keeps tripping me, and his food is in my bedroom (the room that he was leading me out of) right now.

Anyway, I've been feeling somewhat better, at least during the day. At night, my driving coordination still goes awry. Specifically, my deceleration, acceleration, and timing is off on curves. My best guess is that it's because of a side effect of the Risperdal. Risperdal can cause nasal congestion, and I've been living with a perpetually runny nose except when I take Sudafed. By evening, the Sudafed has long since worn off, and congestion could be affecting my balance centers. It's a theory, anyways.

I need to wrap this up and go to sleep post-haste. I need to be at work for an 8 AM conference call. On my plan for professional development, I said that I wanted to learn more about <X> family of products. This call is about one of those products. Be careful what you ask for; you just might get it. At 8 AM -;)

Animal language is easier for me to read
than people language... sometimes.)

One of our dogs, Celie, has at least ten
different facial expressions. The sad one
always gets me. She uses this to cop an
extra milk bone. (The vet is going to be
upset when we bring the dogs in on
Saturday for their shots... they've gained
a little winter weight.
It's hard to walk our dogs in the winter
because they have lots of hair on the
bottom of their feet. The snow clings to
the hairs, and freezes, thus their pads get
cold & hurt, and they limp & whimper.)
I refuse to put boots on my dogs! We will
walk them again, when/if it ever gets warm here.

Have an extra, peace_of_ mind day. :*)

No creature can look sadder than a dog who wants a treat -;)

When I was growing up, I remember having to thaw out my dog's paws. She loved the winter though, or at least loved snow. On the first day of a new snow, she'd bound through the yard, smelling the new smells and eating snow.

Thanks for the "peace of mind day" wish. You too!
