I'm in Rome!!

I got up on time. Got the garbage and recycling out and fixed the chirping smoke alarm. Got an Uber with no problems. Now I’m waiting for the bus to O’Hare.

I’m at the gate at O’Hare. TSA Precheck is the way to go; I’ve never been in such a short security line even though the guy in front of me was setting off the metal detector.

It is an absolute trip to see “Rome, Italy” at the gate and on my boarding pass.

I did sleep on the plane. I lost my eye mask though afterwards.

I’m in Rome! We’re gathering for transportation.

Got to the hotel, but the lights wouldn’t turn on. I finally figured out that you had to swipe the card key to turn them on, but it turned out that you have to leave the card key in the reader. Had a great lunch in the hotel restaurant. Now I think that it’s nap time. I overslept my nap. The group leader called me to tell me that the lesson was beginning, but I think that I'm too tired. I might just go back to sleep after I post.

Glad you arrived ok! I have been confused by that card thing in hotel rooms too.
