Swimming Day

Woke up with my alarm. The cats are restless.
Went to my swimming lesson. My crawl stroke was much better, although I still have issues with kicking. One of the instructors asked me if I could do a breaststroke and backstroke, and I reeled them off, and she said that they looked good. So the question is did I need swim lessons? It’s good to have dedicated time for swimming though. I continued to work on my crawl stroke because that’s my weakest point, and another instructor said that I was wiggling my hips when I kicked, and I should just move my legs. So I worked on that. Apparently there is open swim at the pool 8-9:30 PM weekdays, so I’m going to join the gym-industrial complex at the University and build up my strength.
And I was ridiculously happy in the pool. My shadow person, Miss Don’t Wanna, told me that going swimming was a pain, but I went anyway and enjoyed it.
Weeded and planted a bunch of daylilies. I have a few more to go, but I’m up to an area that is covered with weeds. (Next up, I’ll keep up with them more.) It seemed like a good stopping point.
Took a nap.
I really like the (smaller) gym in which I swim. It also has all the equipment that I’d be likely to use once my foot is healed. And hey, they have a walking track, which would be good for winter!
Went to Walmart to get soda.
I’m feeling really tired and my foot hurts. I think that I’ll just go to bed and get up early.
