CBS is canceling Stephen Colbert's The Late Show. Fuck. And they say that "it's purely a financial decision". Yeah, right. Trump must have leaned on them.

That seems to be the popular opinion :( I guess late night shows aren't as popular now, too, so they can use that excuse.

Actually, it is financial in a round about way? Paramount is trying to get the government to approve a huge merger with Skydance Media. The government agreed - only if Paramount, CBS's parent company caved to various bits by Trump in his lawsuit against them.

I wouldn't get too upset. I'm waiting for Comedy Central or NBC to pick him up. Heck Disney might or Netflix. This would have been huge in the 20th Century, but now? We have over 1000 channels, and streaming. It's not like he can't land on another platform if he wants to? Late Night actually started on NBC, it was after the Tonight Show.
