I Guess That I Was Tired

An Amtrak Facebook group to which I belong recommended putting a copy of your itinerary in your luggage. That’s a good idea.

I way overslept and got up at 8:50 AM. Then my computer has been updating.

It's kind of a sucky day, but I'll live :)

Things are stacking up at work, but hey, job security.

I might need to run to Walmart to get an alarm clock because my new one won't be here yet. Now they say I'll get it by tomorrow, so that should work. Though wait a minute, I need to get up early tomorrow to meet the tree people.

They weren't kidding about the heat. My glasses fogged up when I went outside. There's no way that I'm going to the bank today. I want to hole up (except when out with the dogs) until evening. Okay, I submitted a Walmart order to get the clocks plus a few other things. I'm staying inside where it's cool (which kind of sucks that I'm using someone else to deal with the heat, but I'm leaving a nice tip).

I'm afraid to find out what my energy bill will be like. Maybe we should sleep down in the basement and turn up the thermostat. (I'm largely turning off the spending faucet, although I already signed up for the tree removal and garage. I do want to get new drinking glasses because Bella has broken a bunch of them. Note to self: do not leave them out! I kind of like these pastel drinking glasses to go with the white plates.) Or like these, but they're kind of pricey and not on sale. Or these. I can't make a decision. These are acrylic, which might not be a bad idea with dogs around. Though Bella could probably munch up an acrylic glass easily, but I wouldn't have to worry about her cutting herself on glass. Any thoughts on glasses?)

I'm going to take a short nap after work. I didn't get my lunchtime nap because I was doing all my morning stuff. (I ate breakfast and fed the critters at 12:30 PM and I ate lunch at 5 PM, which says a lot about how this day went :))

I need to clear the junk out of the stairwell to the basement stairs and put doggie beds in there because it's cool in there and Bella and possibly Gracie won't go down in the basement. The first stair down is a big step. I wonder if I could get a cheap doggie bed. I should look for used crates too. I found some dog crates. (They are for Zara if I have to get her downstairs. I need a cheap sheet to throw over the crate too.)

I’m looking into smart power strips, but I need only one outlet for my bedroom TV, but they are full power strips. Hmm.

Crud. I need to get the recycling out. I’ll bring the bin inside of the basement stairwell and then roll it out in the morning. I need to get up early for the tree people anyway.

Help! I’m being viciously licked by two wild and crazy dogs!

Slept until midnight. Oops. The cats and dogs are fed now. Wow, it's still hot out. I'm going to toss a few things in the recycle bin, set up the new clocks, and go back to sleep.
