I definitely have stomach flu. It looks like that I'll be home tomorrow. Oh hell, they're pounding on my roof tomorrow. I need to go out and get more soup anyway, so I'll see if I can find some earplugs.

I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday that I'll need to cancel because they want 24 hours notice. The next appointment that I'll be able to get will be a couple of months from now. This is not good; I need to talk to them. Oh well. There's nothing that I can do.

I found some cold unopened pineapple juice in the refrigerator, and it's delicious.

You've talked about your renovations in numerous posts but, I don't recall you ever saying exactly what you were having done, or what the entire project was. Was it an older condo that you purchased, and needed a bunch of refurbishing, or what?

It's a newer condo (about 10 years old?) that wasn't constructed properly. The homeowners' association sued the developer, won some damages, and are applying them to fixing certain things. The first round was seismic reconstruction, the second round was resurfacing the decks for units like mine, and this last round is re-tiling the roofs. Tuesday they'll be pulling off all the old tiles on the building that I'm in.

Luckily, the work isn't costing me anything. It's just inconvenient.

Ah, okay. Somewhat similar to our 'leaky condo' mess up here. Unfortunately, the developers went bankrupt or, couldn't be found afterwards, and it's left the home owners coughing up additional funds to fix their properties.

Good to hear you don't have to fork over additional cash ;)

A leaky condo sounds really bad. Overall, we've been lucky.

There's been so many cases of faulty construction out there that a law has been proposed that allows the construction company to fix things before the residents go to court. Kind of scary.
