Hot Day 1

Overslept until 8:15 AM. Apparently, I took off the CPAP mask last night. Sigh.

Bella groans when she’s lying down. I guess that means she’s settling in.

I gave up and turned on the air conditioning. It’s coming out nice and cold. The temperature is predicted to have a high of 90F/32C. The downstairs stays fairly cool, but the humidity is awful. (Someone in a meeting said 96% humidity? The "real feel" on the forecast is 100F. Ugh.) I took a lukewarm shower, and it was nice sitting nude near the a/c vent.

Somehow, I missed the UPS guy even though I was downstairs. They want a signature for the travel CPAP. I requested that they hold the package at a UPS store, and I’ll pick it up on the weekend.

Took the Honda to my physical therapy appointment because the a/c was just recharged and is nice and cool.

Physical therapy went okay. I told the PT guy that my knees were hurting after last time, so he went a little easier on me. He was very chatty, and I kept on forgetting to count reps.

I picked up a bunch of ice cream because it’s hot out. I got mixed orange and vanilla, some caramel-flavored gelato, and Snickers ice cream bars. I guess that I went a little overboard, but it should be good.

I let the dogs out when I came back. But a monster storm started, so I let some wet dogs in.

I got some instructions on how to train for hiking in a gym. I have to join the Urbana Park District gym. Maybe I’ll go there after I pick up my CPAP this weekend. I need to start walking too. I need to look for my yoga pants and t-shirt to wear at the gym. I need to get a pair of gym shoes just for the gym too. Okay, I ordered gym shoes, yoga pants, a t-shirt, a lock, and a new gym bag to arrive on Friday. The new clothes mean that I can leave them in the gym bag.

I napped a little, but the dogs were restless because they didn’t spend enough time outside.

My mountain climbing books (I’m now reading about K2) are getting me interested in going to Tibet and Nepal. Road Scholar has a trip to Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan. It’s expensive, around $10000 without airfare, but maybe I could save up for it for 10 years. Road Scholar also has a trip to China partially by train and riverboat that I like. It’s cheaper than the Tibet, etc. trip.

Submitted a grocery order.
