Someone stop the clock; this week is flying by. I'm switching between relaxing and enjoying my vacation, and tearing my hair out because I planned to get more done. The universe seems to be ensuring that I strike a balance, however. For example, I was running errands and planned to see a movie afterwards. Then I convinced myself that I should go home and paint my garage instead. Then I discovered that I left the painting tools soaking overnight, and that they'd never be dry in time to use, so I wound up going to the movie after all. Maybe it was the equivalent of a Freudian slip.
Things are really going to heat up over the next month. I launch into my next project as soon as I get back to work. Next week, I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, and an appointment at the DMV on Friday (to take the written test, show proof that I cleared an old traffic ticket for which I never got the courtesy notice, and renew my license). The following week I have another doctor's appointment. The week after that, Erik and I have to attend a case management session at Family Court. (We're amused that it's on Halloween.) Right around that time, my mom will be in town for a few days. Right after that, I'll need to wrap up my part of the project, which is supposed to end around my birthday (11/12), because I'll be in Austin the week of my birthday.
A little too much stimulation.
I enjoyed the movie (Moonlight Mile). I'd like to write more about it sometime, but my quick review is that it's flawed but still very much worth seeing.
Anyway, I need to spend some time working with Nima and Random. Tomorrow, I need to get up early enough to go to Traffic Court to get proof that I cleared my ticket and Family Court to file some papers for the case management session. The two courts are in opposite directions -;)
