Home again home again
Nov. 16th, 2002 01:20 amI'm back in San Jose, unpacked, and making amends with the cats. Harlee was dubious about me at first, but now she's a very happy kitty. Random and Nima were calmer. None of them want to let me out of their sight (understandably).
On the way back, I was thinking about moving the three of them and shuddering. Oh well, I won't worry too much about it until it happens.
On the way back, I also was thinking about how all the physically separated labs at the company for which I work develop their own individual cultures. When people from different labs work together on a project, there often is a culture clash that has to be worked out. Similarly, different cities have their own individual culture. It amazes me that this country is one cohesive unit (more or less), given the vast distances involved.
And now to sleep. I seem to have reset my circadian rhythm somewhat; it's felt later than it's been all evening. I can barely keep my eyes open.
