Nov. 30th, 2002 01:40 amI've mailed the packages. The shipping on two of them cost almost as much as the present. Oh well. Harlee and Random had great fun playing with the shredded paper that I used for packing, and Harlee inspected each package closely before I piled them by the door.
I continued the eat, drink, and be merry theme from yesterday by going to Sweet Tomatoes, which is a soup-and-salad buffet. I never can eat quite enough to justify the price (which, no doubt, is how they make money), but the food was good.
Then I ran my normal weekend errands of going to the grocery store and WalMart. I bought the ingredients to make the Peanut Soup that
papoose mentioned. It sounds like fun to make. I'm a little worried, though, that I really wanted to get a large stuffed animal that I saw in the shape of a penguin wearing a winter hat and scarf. Very, very uncharacteristic of me. I don't want to know what that means -;)
Harlee inspected the grocery bags too. Apparently she thinks that celery smells really good. I'm thrilled that she's comfortable enough to check out new things rather than hide from them. That certainly wasn't always the case!
