An unconventional Thanksgiving

It was a very satisfying day.

It started with me sleeping late and falling back asleep. Breakfast was especially peaceful, listening to kids squealing outside. Then I took a nap-;)

After I woke up, I spent some time reading LJs of people who aren't on my friends list, and shredding newspapers to use as packing material.

Then I had festive French Toast at Denny's. Then I went to see the late showing of Frida. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I liked her character immediately, and anyone who is struggling is a soulmate of mine. It also contains the sexiest tango ever filmed -;) However, I left wanting something more, although I'm not sure what more is. It would have been nice to know a little more about why she did things. For example, why did she remarry Rivera?

She was so beautiful. Wow.

Now I'm going to finish packing presents for shipping. That is, if I can stay awake. I'm already yawning, which is pathetic given the amount of sleep that I got.

Here's my list of things that I'm thankful for:

1. My mom, who is providing a lot of support when I really need it
2. Air transport, without which much of my life wouldn't be possible
3. The cats, who are warm, cuddly, and loving
4. Books (enough said)
5. Movies
6. Online shopping, the venue of choice for night people
7. The way that plants grow when you aren't looking
8. Heat
9. Air conditioning
10. Being able to run around in a light jacket at the end of November
