I'm new at this frugal (or semi-frugal) business. I went to Safeway tonight, and they had a "buy one, get one free" sale on ground turkey. I knew what I would use it in--a low-carb recipe for a scramble with ground beef, spinach, eggs, onions and other good stuff--but I'm not quite ready to start cooking and dieting. (I need to clean out the refrigerator, eat some of the food in the freezer, and clean the kitchen first.) So I started to leave. Then I realized that I should buy the meat and freeze it until I'm ready to use it. Well, duh.

I'll get the hang of this stuff eventually -;)

My big challenge for cooking is that I have a dinky little freezer (the one in my refrigerator). I wish that I had a chest freezer, but I have no room for it.

I'll probably lose some weight even before I officially start dieting because I'm eating out much less often.
